Somewhat Productive.

I woke up today feeling pretty good about things, about life in general. My room is somewhat in order, I've taken it upon myself to do my own laundry the past few weeks, and i'm pretty proud of myself. I usually like to think I know what I'm doing as an adult, but really I don't. I know that for sure I am slowly learning! I'm only 20, and I still stress about my future, and what it's going to turn out like. I know that I am 100% sure that I want to be a photographer, that is solid. How I go about it really isn't. I know I want to capture memories, and show people my talent. I keep stressing about the business aspects of it all, dealing with money, figuring out prices for people, and I've noticed that all photographers price everything so differently. So, it leaves me with kind of a dead end of where to get ideas from, but then I realise it's something I have to figure out on my own. I really need to remind myself that all of this takes time, as much as I want it to go faster, it can't be that way. Time is such a constant enemy, but I really need to befriend it. So, I need to just keep living life day by day, and see where things take me. I can't rush into things, and really if people want me to photograph them, then they will ask. Lessons are still needed to be learned.

Yesterday was such a lazy day. It mostly consisted of napping, trying to get on the wifi at John's house, and then going to dinner at John's grandparents house. So this damn wifi.. I wanted to put yesterday's post on earlier so that I could do this current post last night, but unfortunately I couldn't. Needless to say, it was incredibly  frustrating, so I took a nap. John took these photos right before we went to his grandparents house, and I am so pleased with the way they came out! And he, of course, seemed happy about them too, especially that first one, it was a nice candid photo, and I'm glad he got it! So after our little shoot, we went to his grandparents house where we were greeted by aunts, uncles, his parents, and grandparents. They are all lovely people, and I fell in love with them instantly. They seemed so welcoming, and happy towards me. It was also pretty neat to hear all of their accents. Oh yeah, John's dad's side of the family are all from Scotland, pretty cool right?! So, yeah, I felt comfortable with them, and I was so happy. I am always happy with John, there really isn't a dull moment with him, and I am so happy that I'm his girlfriend. I have never wanted to be with someone so badly, or make them the happiest they can ever be, and I know I have found him.

Friday Snow Day

So, Friday.

I didn't do a whole lot, except go to school, go see John, which always makes me happy, and he and I went on a double date with his friend Jared, and Jared's lady, Katie. It snowed over where I live, and I live in the "high desert" of California, so I'm at about 3000 feet in elevation. I was almost worried that I wasn't going to make it to school that day, because of the snow, but thankfully it melted in time for me to leave. I get to school, and it was a pretty easy day. I only have one class right now, because I'm on academic probation, which sucks, but I am trying to make the best of it. After that I head on over to John's, we wait around his place, which included taking a nap, and him messing with my camera, taking the most random, and not so flattering photos of myself. Punk. So dinner came along, and we went to Panera, which was nice, because I love meeting John's friends, and I love Panera. (i got a fuji apple salad, yum). After dinner was done we headed out to watch the film "Oz". It was neat to see how The Wizard of Oz came to the land of Oz, and now it makes me want to watch The Wizard of Oz again now that I know some back story! So, that was my day. Not a lot, but it was fun, always fun.

You look like a Punk Rocker

Hello everyone. According to my brother, Thomas, I look like a punk rocker. Which I don't mind. The tips of my hair are pink now! But let me tell you about my day. So this is yesterdays outfit, which I felt really comfy in. I definitely wasn't going for something uncomfortable, because I'm in jeans, a baggy v-neck shirt, and my leather jacket. My day started off with with taking Megan to school, and she proceeded to tell me about her day the other way.. Which involved and 8th grader getting in a fight with a teacher. It was kind of insane! The story she told me, but I don't really want to get into it. Yesterday was kind of my day off, I say kind of because I was on call for work, meaning my entire shift was on call, which I don't love... Drama happened with that.. Lame. Anyway, I also went to visit my high school, I"m friends with the band director, and all of the staff as well. After that we went for dinner for a friend, because it was his birthday! Yesterday was my dad's birthday too, but we didn't get around to celebrating. So, he just said we would just go out on Sunday which a okay with me! And I'll be able to take photos of the event. You guys will get to meet my family! 

I tried looking sexy. DID IT WORK? ha ha

Just so you guys know, I love the picture above. Actually I love all my pictures. I'm so happy that I switched to my Nikon! It's so much better than my lil' point and shoot. but I still need to figure out picture sizes. It's almost frustrating, because I just want all the picture to have the same width, but I can't figure out the height!
