tacoma museum of glass or be careful, and don't touch

So, this museum was pretty R-A-D. I'm surprised I didn't have an anxiety attack by the end of our trip there, because holy fragile EVERYTHING. The museum has this cone shaped part of the building, and it's basically a studio/theater/toaster. The studio part is for the artists, and the theater part is for the guests who want to see the artists do their thing and watch them blow glass. The toaster part, well, there was I think 6 furnaces, or "glory holes" (their reference, not mine) in there, and it was pretty warm in there. Anyway, this place is cool, if you're into art, blown glass, and awesome.

One of my favorite pieces were those balls, so colorful, and playful. I mean come on! Also, this museum let's your bring your children to come and see the art, I MEAN REALLY? I would freak if I had a kid and brought them to a glass museum. I think I would die if they broke anything.

The pictures right above, and right below were inspired by children's drawings. This was my favorite part of the museum. What a great thing that they do with these kids, and it was incredibly cute to see the descriptions on some of these. The one below was "GIRLS DAY OUT!!!!!" it was sweet, and adorable. Also, my baby fever is at an all time high right now. I mean, how can it not be. Seeing babies, just makes my heart melt, and then I think about how John and I will raise our kids, and I get super emotional. Don't worry Mama, Dad, and In-Laws. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage. I've had that list down since like, the first grade, no need to worry.

Check this place out ladies and gents. It's crazy amazing, glassy, and real cool.

Have Love.

Road Trip: Nevada, Idaho, Utah.

So, back in June my family, John, and I went on a road trip to Idaho for a little family reunion. Needless to say it was pretty amazing, and it made my wanderlust grow even more. While we were there we went fishing, visited old mining towns, saw where my dad grew up, and just immersed ourselves in the outdoors of Idaho. The campground we stayed at was right off the River of No Return, also known as, The Salmon River. There couldn't have been a better place for us to stay. The weather was beautiful, the daylight lasted till 10:30pm, and it was pure fun. I wish I could go back.

I've always loved camping, ever since I was a baby. I know this, because my parents too pictures of me in their pack that they had me in. I've only really slept in that trailer a few times, and I've always slept in a tent other than those times. To me tent camping is definitely the way to do it, only because it feels more like you're right in nature, sleeping outside, hearing noises (that freak you out!), but really it's the best no arguments. This is the very first time I have ever taken a boyfriend camping, and it was pretty awesome. I loved how much John got into the outdoors, it just motivated me to want to be in it too. This is also the first time that I've brought a boyfriend to meet my fathers side of the family, and I'm so pleased, and thankful that they really liked him. The only opinions that really mattered were my Aunt Kris, and Uncle George's. I look up to them so much, and I have really appreciated every lesson they've ever given me, even though I don't see them much, I am always grateful for what they have to say, or just having them around. Overall, the reunion went well, and I'm so satisfied.

Oh I love them so.

I will not be ashamed.

I have changed a lot in the last year. I went from being a size 8 girl, who only cared about her image, and how men saw her to a size 10-12 girl who has gained more confidence, in herself image, because she didn't give two fuck about what people thought. I know that I've changed, because I can feel it in my bones. I'm not ashamed of my thick legs, my slightly chubby waist, or my arms. All that matters is that I should feel good, and I do.

I hate it when women focus solely on being skinny, starving themselves, or even working out so much that they forget what they were getting fit for. If you're going to diet, or work out, do it for YOURSELF, and not for anyone else. Don't do it for the looks, whistles, or anything like that, because it's what you think of yourself, and how you feel when you look in that mirror. I've learned that when you workout for people, or if you lose weight for people, you lose yourself, and you start to self loath yourself, and women or even men shouldn't do that.

Learn to love yourself, and do what you want to do to please yourself.

If friends, or anyone else judges you for doing what YOU want to do, then they don't belong in your life, and if you allow them to shoot you down or keep judging you, then you need to get them out of your life, because all they are, are toxic.

Have love, and everything good will follow. Surround yourself with people that will not judge you for being who you want to be, and you will be happy. I guarantee it.
