sun, oh sun.

Today was such a good day! It was so beautiful, and I wish I could have shared today with John, but he had work! Speaking of which, John got hired at an engraving place as an assistant manager! They saw tons of potential in him, and he's doing so well there already. Our morning start out with coffee, and taking a drive out to his work so he can open it for someone covering the store. After all of that we went straight home, he got ready, and I got ready to go out, and shop for tonight's dinner. We are having Spaghetti and meatballs.
yum.

So, I went to this local market, and I wish I had take photos of it, but honestly I wasn't thinking. So, I got italian sausage, parsely, pasta sauce, onion, some caramels, and these beautiful strawberries. I mean HOLY STRAWBERRIES. The first words out of my mouth was "holy shit, that is so damn good!" I wish I could send every one of my friends these, because DAMN. Anyways, this market feels like a tiny farmers market, and I fell in love with it. They have all sorts of fruits, a meat counter, tons of vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/no preservatives friendly everything, and it's just really cute/dreamy. Hopefully I can drag Johnny in there some day.

so, so, so, so good.

Also, I got a scarf at World Market. It matches my eyes. I'm a happy gal. I've also got that itch to want to cut my hair, and I know I'm going to regret it. So, someone please just tell me I'm crazy, and to keep my hair long.

the items i'm wearing are from:

Flats (Ross, brand: Nine West)

Have Love all of you.

happy late easter! and other shenanigans.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a little while! John and I have been busy bees! Anyway! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, truly. No matter what the heck you were doing that day I hope it was good! John and I got a grill for our place, and we made some superb food that night too! Steak, shrimp, and mashed red potatoes. And the last picture is of my breakfast the day after. I'm seriously trying to eat better, and staying close to my practice with Yoga.

That's all for now! I have another post that I'm working on as well!

Have Love.

today, and etcetera.

Hey y'all.

Today has been such a nice day here in Tacoma. The sun is out, we were out and about, mostly for drinks, creamer, and milk. Our windows are open letting the cool breeze in, and I'm sitting right next to my sweets. It feels like I am a kid again, just hanging out at home with bare feet, and just laying down on the couch just watching tv with my family. I'm so happy, and feeling pretty great as of late. Good things are happening at work, John's getting interviews, and hopefully they all love him. Right now my parent's are doing well, they're in Nevada right now for my grandmother's memorial, but despite that everything is well with everyone. My Dad even hinted at the want to move up north. Not necessarily Washington, but somewhere up here. So, that will be nice for when they become Grandparents.

Some people whom I am so dang proud of are my in-laws. I MEAN! I am so dang happy for them, because I love seeing John's mom post little things about how her, and his dad go to the gym together, and how they have so much fun going together, and quite frankly I think it's freakin' adorable.

waffle cone goodness^^^ !!

So, an average day off is usually spent going shopping for the apartment, and just not really doing a whole lot. Lately though... last week we went to the Museum of Glass, which was night, and then today, was just so refreshing. Like it literally feels fresh up in the apartment. We have a candle going, windows open, music playing, and just ah, so nice. Everything is turning even more green than it already is too! Like trees, good job, do yo thang.

Today I drank iced sweet tea, got some bamboo spatulas/spoons, ate pot stickers, and cleaned up a little. I am probably going to do laundry, and just do that for the rest of the day, maybe. It really feels like things are starting to finally fit into our days better. We are making sure things are paid off, saving (slowly), and just really respecting, loving, and supporting everything we do. I'm so excited for the future with work, the advancement that I somewhat mentioned in this post is going into play! So, weeee!

Mama in-law. If you're reading this I promise to take more photos, and, AND we'll get out and explore more.

You guys, HAVE LOVE, be happy, fearless, and brave.

eats and arts

Eating Homemade:

I'm literally dying to want to cook so many homemade things, and then I end up NOT. Mostly because I work a lot now, and I'm hardly ever having time to cook at night, and at the end of the day I really just want to have something ready in 10 minutes, eat, hang with my babe, and then go to sleep. So, with that being said, I think that I want to start to look for quick recipes, that are easily prepped. Some of my closest friends are chefs, and seriously I don't know why i never just pursued the career, because I love cooking still, and if I can make someone happy by feeding them, then my day will have been made.

So, I want to try these foods, fast or not:

Art:

There's barely any art on our walls here in our apartment, so, I'll post some images of what I would like hanging up on our walls!
 Scoutmob
 Scoutmob

Scoutmob
Scoutmob
So, I really like Scoutmob, and the idea of it all. If I'm honest I would really like to start to actually buy things from their site, because a lot of stuff is really neat, and I really think that not only will I appreciate it, I know John will.
Anyway, this is the end of my post! I hope you were inspired to try a recipe or two, and checked out Scoutmob!

Have love..

this is an un-sponsored post.

tacoma museum of glass or be careful, and don't touch

So, this museum was pretty R-A-D. I'm surprised I didn't have an anxiety attack by the end of our trip there, because holy fragile EVERYTHING. The museum has this cone shaped part of the building, and it's basically a studio/theater/toaster. The studio part is for the artists, and the theater part is for the guests who want to see the artists do their thing and watch them blow glass. The toaster part, well, there was I think 6 furnaces, or "glory holes" (their reference, not mine) in there, and it was pretty warm in there. Anyway, this place is cool, if you're into art, blown glass, and awesome.

One of my favorite pieces were those balls, so colorful, and playful. I mean come on! Also, this museum let's your bring your children to come and see the art, I MEAN REALLY? I would freak if I had a kid and brought them to a glass museum. I think I would die if they broke anything.

The pictures right above, and right below were inspired by children's drawings. This was my favorite part of the museum. What a great thing that they do with these kids, and it was incredibly cute to see the descriptions on some of these. The one below was "GIRLS DAY OUT!!!!!" it was sweet, and adorable. Also, my baby fever is at an all time high right now. I mean, how can it not be. Seeing babies, just makes my heart melt, and then I think about how John and I will raise our kids, and I get super emotional. Don't worry Mama, Dad, and In-Laws. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage. I've had that list down since like, the first grade, no need to worry.

Check this place out ladies and gents. It's crazy amazing, glassy, and real cool.

Have Love.
