I was going to title this post, "my past week," but there's stuff in here that pertain to future living, and what's been going on in the past month. September has been pretty good to me, my birthday, John's birthday, I've been taking more photos of things, really trying to be creative. I also have a wanderlust, I seriously think that they should make it some sort of disorder, because I've got it bad. I think my wanderlust is in a different category, because not only do I want to travel, but I have a huge desire to move to the pacific northwest. I want to live simply, see the foggy streets from my front porch, live within the trees, and enjoy life. I want to do this so badly it's almost frustrating, because I know I don't have enough money to even move. One day it will happen, I know it.

I've also been going to friday night football games with John, because he helps out the football team, as well as his dad, and it's been fun! I've made a new friend, her name is Katie, and I just admire her, because she's funny, definitely trustworthy, and an all around great gal. I love how she talks about her boyfriend, because they plan to get married, have 5 little ones, and have football forever in their lives. Her and I are pretty similar, and I enjoy that. I definitely have fun talking to her, but it isn't fun when the team loses. The Chargers have yet to win a game this season, and I'm hoping after this past week they get a win this Friday! John's father gave them a pretty inspiring, hair raising speech that almost made me cry when he told us about it. It was so amazing, and I can't repeat it, because I know I'll botch the whole thing. But all you need to know is that it was awesome.

I've been talking to John about wanting to make home cooked meals more often at his house, because well, we don't eat in as often, and hitting the gym together. I love cooking, originally I wanted to be a chef with my very good friend, Dani. But that changed, and my desires got flipped around, and I want to be a photographer. Anyway, I really appreciate a home meal. I want to be able to go to farmers markets, meat markets, and other markets. I want to live wholly, but for now I can dream.

Cheers to turning Twenty-One!

One week ago I turned the age of 21. I went to a sports bar, brewery, restaurant with my closest of friends and family. Turning 21 felt like it was a much bigger deal to me than when I turned 18, mostly because "adults" this that you're still a kid at that age, and not really taken all that seriously for certain jobs. Anyway, it was a big deal. Plus, I want to get into trying craft beer, I know, I know how hipster of me to do so. Here's some of my extremly under exposed cell phone pictures.

I'm so sad that I wasn't able to get some pictures of John's family, but I promise... I will get some and show you just how lovely and wonderful they are.

The image on the above left is my Guiness Beer, and the one on the right is of my John, and I. All in all you guys I had the best birthday that I've had in years, mostly because I was with all my friends, and my family, and I am so happy, blessed, and forever grateful.

Road trippin' to Colorado, last month...

Last month my boyfriend, his parents, and myself all packed up our camping things, and went off to Colorado. I've never been to Colorado before, and it was pretty nice going there and seeing all the sites almost made me want to move there! The weather was pretty nice, until the storms came along, but all in all it was great (much better than southern California). There was plenty of fish catching, family talking, sunburns, dirty clothes, and for the most part love.

The best part was going camping with my man, because it was our very first time camping with our own camping supplies. Although we didn't get to do much cooking on our Coleman stove or cook with any of our things, we still go use out of everything else, like our tent, which got beat up during the storm, but in the end there wasn't a scratch on that baby! I'm so blessed to have even found John. I feel so happy, lucky, loved, frustrated, but most of all cared for in the best ways possible. I love you baby!

When we all went to John's grandfather's house, I think I was in photograph heaven. I thoroughly enjoyed being there, seeing everyone, and the surrounding Durango. I know that in the future John, and I will most definitely try to make a trip out there! It will be great visiting family, and the places we went to on this roadtrip again. The following are from his grandfathers house.

Now, obviously on a road trip we have to drive through other states and what not, well, driving though most of the states weren't great, but driving through Flagstaff, Arizona wasn't bad! Only cause there's trees everywhere, and trees make me happy. (oh, brittany, calm your hippie part of you down!)

Series of Images

A Grand
Handrail
ELECTRIC
Fellow Classmate

The first picture is of a broken grand piano in a trash can. My boyfriend thought it was a good idea to take the a picture, although he didn't like the idea of me putting a light on the piano in the middle of the night. I'm sorry, but my photographer senses were tingling. So there, awesome photo.

Second photo, a handrail at my school. My professor told us to go outside, and mess with our fStops, and shutter speeds (my ISO was at a 200). Really confusing at first, but eventually got it.

Third photo, electrical things are down there.

Fourth photo, this guy is in my class. AND HE WEARS THAT SAME LOOKING OUTFIT EVERY WEEK***

***my class is once a week. Explanation complete.

Haven't posted on here in the longest time, I GUESS, maybe, I should update it a lot more. Since my last post which is the one about Idaho... I went to Colorado for a few days to meet some of John's family (mother's side), I've started school, I turned 21 years old, and I'm pretty much eating, sleeping, dreaming football. Really not much has been going on except that I'm working, going to school, seeing John, being with family, and sleeping. Rarely do I ever have time ever. Which sucks. I want to keep this blog up and going, TRUST me. I will try my best to upload things, make it a habit! I've also had to delete everything on my computer, because this laptop might as well have come from the prehistoric period. It goes so slow! Especially trying to upload, edit, and upload images. Anyway... More posts! yes!
